| I always look for when the wattles go pinkish and the beak,toenails look as though they have been polished,plus they dont eat much.My best hen used to clap the skies out like a cock when she was on top form.the cocks could,nt touch her. | |

| with old cocks the skin by there keele will go a lighter pink, also in ybs a old guy once told me when you put them in basket look for the ones that are just shaking the end of there wing flights, they will come well tomorrow, and you will be suprised how often these birds come well up, now you know 2 tricks i look for dont ask for no more LOL | |

| Observation Observation Observation Watch the birds closely i have not had a real top performance from a pigeon without it showing the form beforehand although i will say quite a few of those times i didn't realise until i thought about it afterwards. Best pigeon i ever owned used to sit on the corner of the house and turn his back on me totally ignored me when he did that he was Deadly. He had 25 x 1st club never won when he was keen for getting in.
